Thanks for joining us here at Exaltation of Larks for the Williams College Society of Alumni Bicentennial Puzzle Hunt, Puzzles in Purple.
By now, quite a few of you have already solved the first puzzle, an excellent themed crossword by New York Times crossword constructor John Lieb '95. If you're still working (or haven't started), you will notice that a hint has been published on the puzzle page. Hints will be released for each puzzle after a while, depending upon how difficult the puzzles seem to be.
You'll also notice an alert on the page for the release date of the next puzzle. Check back here for news about coming puzzles, as well as updates and information about the puzzle hunt as a whole.
Puzzles also have expiration dates, after which you can keep solving the puzzle (and checking answers) but you'll no longer be eligible for a prize. At the end there will be a final metapuzzle which combines information from the first ten puzzles, and a grand prize drawing from among everyone who has solved all eleven puzzles correctly!
Please spread the word! Anyone can join the Hunt at anytime.
If you have comments or questions about the puzzles you can always reach me at greg at exaltation-of-larks dot com.
Thank you for playing, and good luck! —Greg
